I love that they use motion capture and real dancers to get the dance sequences animated correctly with natural motion. I also love that they use sequences and storylines from classic ballets - what a lovely introduction for the little aspiring ballerina!
The overall message in the movie is that it's not necessary to be perfect - just dance from the heart.
All in all - I don't think you can go wrong with the Barbie movies. They are sweet, uplifting stories that easily entertain my daughter and my son if he doesn't know anyone's paying attention.
