Abraham points his gun at her, intending to stop her from re-animating. Glenn punches Abraham in the face, trying to stop him from shooting Maggie.
Abraham quickly subdues him and berates the Survivors for their stupidity, saying that Maggie could turn at any time and bite one of them. Rick steps-in and points his gun at Abraham's head, saying that if Abraham pulls his trigger, he will pull his and kill Abraham on the spot.
Abraham points out that Rick seems to enjoy pointing guns at people who disagree with him and says that Maggie is clearly dead.
Suddenly, Maggie recovers from her near death experience and springs to life. Abraham almost shoots her thinking she is dead, but, Glenn shouts at him and tells him that she is still alive, leaving Abraham in shock over the fact that he almost killed Maggie.
Abraham later confronts Rick about Maggie's near death experience. He says that he has earned some sleep in saving Maggie's life, but, stops him and says that if Rick ever points a gun at his head again, he will not hesitate to kill him.
Rick stares him down, and responds to Abraham's threat by telling him that the next time he has Abraham at gunpoint, he will not hesitate in blowing his brains out, leaving a furious Abraham glaring at him.
The next day, Abraham finds Rick being attacked by a zombie, while he was out urinating. He hesitates in saving Rick, almost letting him die.
But, Abraham decides to save him and kill the zombie, telling Rick that he should be more careful next time.
Rosita later finds Abraham shaking behind a truck and asks him what is wrong. He tells her that he followed Rick out of camp intending to kill him, but, the zombie that grabbed Rick convinced him to do otherwise.
He starts to panic frantically, asking Rosita to make sure he never kills again. Rosita quickly manages to calm Abraham down, assuring him that he is not an animal.
They then quickly embrace in a kiss, before Rosita tells Abraham that they should head back to camp in case they start to cause panic there. Abraham and the group soon pack-up camp again, heading back on the road to Washington, D.
Along the way, Abraham and Rick manage to move car wreckage blocking the entrance to an interstate highway.
After moving the wreckage, Abraham and the group stumble upon a deserted gas station. Abraham tells the group to stop, indenting to search the station for supplies.
He notices Rick pondering something and asks him what he is thinking. Rick tells him that they should go north on the interstate, rather than east.
Abraham asks him why, and Rick tells him his home town, Cynthiana, Kentucky, is only a few miles from the gas station.
Abraham angrily asks why he would want to detour through there, and Rick snaps back saying that he has keys to a police weapons locker there.
After Abraham hears this, he warms up to the suggestion, informing the rest of the group he, Rick, Carl are heading out to Cynthiana for two days, wanting them to fortify the area in the meantime.
On the road to Cynthiana, Abraham suggests that he, Rick, and Carl stop for the night, as there is not enough daylight left to reach Cynthiana.
While camping out on the highway, Abraham is ambushed by three bandits, telling him not to move unless he values his and his friends lives.
Rick starts to fight with one of the bandits, after another one punches Carl in the face, intending to rape him. Rick quickly bites the bandits throat out, killing him, and distracting the other two bandits.
Abraham uses this opportunity to shoot the bandit holding him hostage in the face. He later watches as Rick mutilates the bandit that almost raped Carl and the three of them make camp there.
Later on, after Carl falls asleep, Abraham tells Rick that you don't just come back from mutilating a man and holding his insides in your hands. Rick tells him that he can fake it and it is not the first time he has done something as horrendous as the bandit's murder.
Rick tells him that Carl is all he has and that he would do anything to protect him. This causes Abraham to break down and start crying.
Rick asks him if he is okay, and Abraham tells him that it is time Rick learnt how he lost his family. Abraham informs Rick of his wife and daughter's rape, and the fact the he killed the six men responsible with his bare hands.
He goes on to say that his family saw him doing this act, and left him because they were scared of him. He goes on to tell Rick about all the times he has killed people who opposed him, Rosita, and Eugene.
This causes Rick to tell Abraham about the times he killed Martinez and Dexter in cold-blood. Abraham asks Rick why he is telling him this, and Rick responds back by saying Abraham was right in the fact that the outbreak caused a switch to go off in some people's minds.
But, Rick tells him that fact is not entirely a bad thing and has helped people stay alive in the outbreak. Carl wakes up and tells both Abraham and Rick about the time he killed Shane, saying that he sometimes has thoughts about killing people, and Rick quickly comforts him, as Abraham sorrowfully looks on.
After arriving in Cynthiana, at Rick's house, Abraham, Rick, and Carl, stumble across Morgan , who hits Rick in the face with a shovel, not recognizing him from before.
Abraham quickly brandishes his machine gun and tells Morgan to back-off. Rick tells Abraham that it is fine, and to keep Carl by the truck while he attends to Morgan.
After gathering Morgan, and the guns from the Cynthiana police department, Abraham, Rick, and Carl make camp just outside Cynthiana, all three having trouble sleeping due to the bandit encounter the night before.
The next morning, Abraham and the others set-off back to the gas station. On the way there, they encounter a massive herd that has tracked their sounds.
Rick tries to ram through them, but their vehicle gets stuck and Abraham gets thrown out of the back of the truck onto a grassy field, away from the herd.
Abraham quickly recovers and helps Rick, Carl, and Morgan escape the wrecked truck. They four of them quickly start to run away from the herd and to the gas station, but, Rick stops Abraham and tells him that they are just leading the herd straight to the station.
Abraham and the others quickly change direction and head for a large house over the hill. When they arrive there, still pursued by the herd, Abraham breaks down the door and quickly starts barricading it and the windows.
After scavenging the house, Abraham and the others quickly leave and arrive back at the gas station, however, the herd still continuing to pursue them.
Abraham and the other group members quickly pack up their equipment and head back on the road to Washington, D.
While on the road to D. However, they are interrupted when they find that Billy has been brutally murdered by his own brother, Ben.
Abraham later suggests that the group kill Ben before he can kill anyone else, and this causes Carl to step-up and perform the act without anyone knowing.
After Billy and Ben's deaths, Abraham and the group decide to hold off traveling any further to D. Later that day, a large zombie group attacks the group's temporary camp.
Abraham quickly rushes to action and saves Carl, managing to dispatch the zombie group in the process. Abraham is later seen having sexual intercourse with Rosita, leaving the group to handle an encounter with The Hunters , and joking about Eugene watching them engage in intercourse again.
The next day, after Dale mysteriously goes missing, Abraham joins the rest of the group in a search party for him. Abraham starts to complain that the search is useless, and that if Dale did leave, he did not want to be found.
This causes him to lose focus, and as such, is almost bitten by a zombie that jumped out of a bush. After this encounter, Abraham and Rick decide to postpone the search for Dale and head to Gabriel Stokes ' church, a new member of the group who arrived a day before Dale's disappearance.
When Abraham and the group arrive at the Church, they immediately see someone watching them from the distant woodland.
This causes Rick and Andrea to snap and demand Gabriel tell them where Dale is. However, he manages to convince the group that he does not know where Dale is.
Abraham interjects and says that panic will do the group no good in tracking down and finding who is stalking them, leaving Rick to think over a plan of action.
Abraham later confronts Rick, asking if he can stop Andrea crying as she will bring the dead towards them. Rick snaps at him and tells him that she can take as long as she has to.
Abraham apologizes, but, tells Rick that there is no way they will find Dale. This causes Rick to walk off in anger, leaving Abraham and Rosita together.
Abraham tells Rosita that his big mouth has caused him to get on Rick's bad side twice in one day. Rosita tells him that he has to keep it together and that people will start seeing through his tough-guy personality.
Abraham starts telling her that he respects Rick and his group and does not want to get on their bad-side again, however, they are interrupted by Gabriel, who offers them an extra blanket for the night.
Later that day, Dale is found legless in front of Gabriel's church. Abraham, Rick, Andrea, and Glenn rush to his aid.
They manage to get him into the church, but, not before Glenn is shot through the leg. Abraham informs Rick that The Hunters are not trying to kill them, rather, only toy with them until they are easy prey.
Rick agrees with him, and they both decide to go and hunt down The Hunters, using the information a dying Dale gave them about their base.
Abraham and group soon set out and arrive at The Hunters' base and after a brief stand-off, torture and kill The Hunters one after another. The next day, Abraham is seen attending Dale's funeral.
He tries to talk to Rick about their current situation, saying that they have to leave the church soon. However, Rick tells him to give him a minute while he says goodbye to Dale.
Sometime after Dale's passing, Abraham and the group leave Gabriel's church, and continue on the road to Washington, D.
One day at the group's temporary camp, Rick tries to use Eugene's radio, but, Eugene tries to stop him, saying he will break it.
Their struggle results in the radio being tossed to the ground and everyone in the group finds out Eugene was lying about D. This causes Abraham to go berserk and attack Eugene, almost killing him, but, he is restrained by Rick at the last moment.
Abraham continues to verbally assault Eugene, saying that Eugene made him kill all those people on the road for no good reason what-so-ever. Later that day, Abraham is confronted by Rick, who asks him if he is still angry at Eugene.
Abraham tells him that he is not angry at Eugene, rather, he is angry at himself for believing Eugene's lies, and killing all the innocent people that got in his way during the road to D.
Rick asks him if he still thinks they should head to D. He asks if he can speak to Rick and Abraham, and Rick responds by knocking him out cold.
Abraham then helps Rick tie him up and they bring him back to the main camp. When they arrive, Aaron starts to explain about his community on the other side of D.
However, a group of zombies hear them and start to pour into the camp. Abraham and the others quickly dispatch them and notice that Glenn has cut Aaron free.
However, Aaron tells them that he is not going to hurt them. Abraham and the rest of the group decide to trust him and set-off towards his community.
While travelling to Aaron's community, Abraham and the group encounter Aaron's boyfriend, Eric. Abraham and the others threaten to kill Aaron and Eric unless they tell whoever else is with them to come out of hiding.
Aaron pleads with the group, and tells them that Eric is just his back-up in case anything goes wrong. The group accepts this explanation and Abraham orders everyone to load back-up onto the vehicles as they return to travelling towards Aaron's community.
Along the way, Rick asks Abraham if he has got a "read" on Aaron and Eric. Abraham tells him that he used to think of himself as a good lie-detector, but that he doesn't know anymore after Eugene's lie.
Rick still asks him to keep an eye on Aaron and Eric, telling him that Aaron's offer seems to good to be true. The next day, Abraham and the group start to get near to Aaron's community, but, suddenly a flare is set off from inside the D.
Abraham, Rick, and Aaron quickly rush to the flare's origin point and find Heath , and a wounded Scott there. Abraham quickly starts using his machine-gun to cut down the oncoming group of zombies.
The five of them are almost killed, but, are saved by Tobin and his men, who escort Abraham, Rick, Aaron, Heath, and Scott back to the rest of the group.
After arriving at the Safe-Zone, Abraham remarks on how different and normal it is compared to life outside it's walls, saying that it feels weird.
He later attends an interview with Douglas Monroe , the leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, who decides what role he will have in the community, and decides on him being part of the Alexandria construction team.
After being given his role in the Alexandria community, Abraham and the other members of the group accompany Douglas on a tour around town, being shown their houses by him.
After Douglas leaves them to split housing arrangements between themselves, Abraham tells Rick that they should all sleep in one house for a few nights, in case anything goes wrong.
Rick agrees with him and they both decide to spread the word among the group. The next day, Abraham is seen at Douglas' house warming party, held in celebration of Abraham and the group's arrival at the Safe-Zone.
Rosita asks Abraham why he won't go and mingle with Alexandrians at the party, and Abraham tells her that he is just worried about going back outside the Safe-Zone again, saying going back to a normal life is something he wants to get used to again, causing them both to embrace.
Abraham wakes up early in the morning heavily sweating. He starts talking to himself while glancing at Rosita, telling himself not to be scared about going outside the walls again because he is already used to it.
He reluctantly grabs his machine gun and helps the construction crew load the truck with supplies, heading outside the Safe-Zone walls shortly after.
When Abraham and the rest of the crew arrive to the semi-built wall around another part of Alexandria, they start to finish the wall off by putting up more concrete panels.
While taking a rest break, Abraham begins to converse with a member of the construction crew, Bruce , who tells him of Alexandria's crooked ways.
He tells Abraham that the most expendable and less intelligent people are put on the construction crew, while the attractive women get the best jobs in the community.
Abraham starts to ask about this, but, their conversation is interrupted by a large group of zombies there were drawn to the area by the loud noises the crew were making.
Another member of the construction crew, Holly, is cut off from the rest by the zombie group. Abraham quickly springs to her aid, ignoring the crew's leader, Tobin , and his orders for the crew to get in the "phalanx" formation.
Abraham continues to ignore him and helps Holly quickly dispatch all the zombies in the area, leaving the other construction crew members in awe and amazement over his zombie-killing skills.
After saving Holly and dispatching the remaining zombies in the area, Abraham berates Tobin for leaving Holly to die and Tobin asks Holly to tell Abraham about their "phalanx" system.
However, Holly responds by kneeing him in the stomach and Tobin falls to the group, bleeding from his mouth.
She goes to kick him again, but, Abraham steps in and tells her that it is not worth it. Abraham then asks Bruce what they should do now, and Bruce informs him that they usually go back to Alexandria after a zombie attack.
Abraham, however, orders everyone to get back to work on putting the panel up, saying that if the construction crew moves fast, they can get the panel up in no time.
Holly then thanks Abraham for saving her life, but he tells her that she does not have to thank him, as saving her was not anything special and it is what anyone should have done.
Abraham is later seen back at Alexandria discussing the construction job with Andrea, and her role in protecting the construction crew.
He informs her that she will help cover them with her sniper from the town's nearby bell tower, hoping to keep any zombies off the crew's location while they are putting up the new wall.
Later that week, after Regina Monroe 's death at the hands of Peter Anderson , and his subsequent death at the hands of Rick, Abraham is present during the D.
C Scavengers attempt to take the Alexandria Safe-Zone. After the Scavenger's leader, Derek , tries to shoot his way inside the Safe-Zone, Abraham, and the rest of the Alexandria construction crew, kill him and his men.
However, this inadvertently causes a massive herd to slowly approach the Safe-Zone. Abraham is seen assisting the other members of the construction crew reinforce the wall around the Safe-Zone.
However, the crew is ambushed by a massive group of zombies, which are the first of the herd drawn to the Safe-Zone by the gunfire from the skirmish with Derek.
Tobin is surrounded in a car, but, Abraham quickly comes to his aid, and successfully manages to get Tobin, and everyone else back inside the Safe-Zone safely.
Abraham is later seen instructing many residents of the Alexandria Safe-Zone on how to deal with the zombies pilling up outside the community.
He, and the other community members, soon travel outside the community's gates and start killing the zombies around the wall, hoping to quell the flow of undead for the day.
However, after clearing many zombies from around the wall, Andrea fires a warning shot from her bell tower, causing Abraham, and the others, to immediately retreat back the Safe-Zone's front gate.
However, when they get there, they find a gigantic herd approaching the gate, and Abraham quickly scrambles to get the front gate open.
Their camp was overrun a few weeks earlier, and Eugene has persuaded them to head to Washington, D. The trio first appears at Hershel 's farm shortly after the prison's destruction.
They are at first held at gunpoint by Andrea until Abraham explains their story and they need to acquire supplies for their trip to Washington, and invites them to come along.
Though the group remains skeptical and Abraham directly confronts Dale and yells at him which causes tensions between him and Andrea.
Later a large pack of zombies finds the farm and Abraham takes them all out and informs the others they were part of a larger "herd" which will be coming their way, and fires a gunshot to force their co-operation.
Eventually Rick agrees and they pack up their supplies into their truck and leave the farm for good, though he still remains wary of Abraham. Initially, there is hostility between Abraham and the others, particularly Rick Grimes.
When Maggie Greene attempts suicide, he comes close to placing a bullet in her head before she regains consciousness, even when Rick holds a gun to his head and orders him not to.
Rick's arguing with him enrages Abraham, and Abraham almost kills him the next morning. A zombie interrupts his plan, and Abraham saves Rick instead.
During a detour back to Rick's hometown, they run into a group of bandits who attempt to rape Carl. Abraham assists in rescuing him and stops Carl from watching Rick disembowel one of them.
The next morning, Rick and Abraham bond after they realize they have suffered similar losses. After gathering some supplies from Rick and Carl's hometown, and recruiting Morgan Jones , the four make the trip back to the survivors.
During this trip they stumble upon the "herd" the largest they have seen , and immediately try to break through. Instead, they total their car.
On foot, Carl is nearly killed and Abraham rescues him. They regroup with the rest of their team and head to DC.
On the way, they stumble across two mysterious scavengers, and Abraham is wary of their true intentions. He insists to Rick that they follow anyway due to their limited options.
They soon come across and integrate themselves into Alexandria, where Abraham due to his physical strength is made head of the construction crew, where he witnesses corruption with the other crew members sacrificing one of their own, a young woman named Holly.
He stands up for her, which drives the two closer to one another, and eventually they hook up behind Rosita's back. Abraham initially feels guilt about cheating on Rosita, but rationalizes his action as normal because of the new world they're living in.
He breaks off his relationship with Rosita and falls back into Holly's arms. At one point, Holly suggests he take over from Rick, though this never comes to light.
Abraham continues to assist in daily zombie-slaying and muscle work as months go by. He and Michonne later encounter Jesus and join Rick and a few others at the Hilltop community.
They are ambushed on their way back by the Saviors, a ruthless gang that has been terrorizing the community. When they are back in Alexandria, he and Eugene go on a supply run, and are ambushed by Savior members.
Their leader Dwight, right-hand man of Negan, puts an arrow through Abraham's head and takes Eugene hostage. Abraham's body is eventually discovered by Rick and Andrea and given a memorial service.
His death devastates Holly and Rosita, who has forgiven him. Dwight is resented by everyone for some time for killing Abraham but he professes that he had no choice as to not kill him would mean his wife Sherry would be punished, which is ultimately proven right.
Regardless of Rick's eventual alliance with Dwight, many members of the group still dislike him for killing Abraham. In the episode " Inmates ", Abraham, Rosita , and Eugene meet survivors Tara and an unconscious Glenn on the road as they escape the ruins of the destroyed prison.
In the episode " Claimed ", Abraham ignores Glenn's insistence on finding his wife Maggie , as he says Eugene knows the cure to the virus and they must get to DC.
The two get into a scuffle over it, but Glenn's determination to find Maggie outvotes Abraham. In the episode " Us ", Abraham leaves Glenn and Tara into a tunnel and wishes them safe travels, but eventually come back to rescue them after meeting Maggie, Sasha , and Bob.
Eugene manages to convince Abraham to go to Terminus with the others, as they might be able to obtain supplies and recruit others at Terminus to come to Washington.
They all head to Terminus, where they are greeted by a woman named Mary. In the season finale " A ", when Rick , his son Carl , and Michonne and Daryl are locked up in a shipping container by the residents of Terminus, it is revealed that Abraham and the rest have all been captured and are being held there as well.
Rick declares that the people holding them are "gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out [ In the season premiere " No Sanctuary ", Abraham escapes Terminus with the group.
In the episode " Strangers ", Abraham talks to Rick and tries to convince him to go to DC but he insists on staying in Father Gabriel Stokes Seth Gilliam 's church for the night and the others state that they do what Rick says and Abraham decides to wait.
Later that night Abraham holds a toast during dinner praising their skills as survivors but also notes the danger it poses to their sanity.
Rick agrees to go to DC. A deal is made for Glenn and Maggie to leave after the night. Abraham then gives Rick a map, apologizing for his behavior and tells him to go to DC after he gets Daryl and Carol back.
In the episode " Self Help ", flashbacks show Abraham killing men to protect his family, but his wife and children are terrified by him and run off, only to be killed by walkers.
Abraham almost commits suicide but Eugene comes asking for help on a mission. In present day, Abraham goes increasingly frustrated with the set-backs on the way to DC, only for Eugene to reveal he is not a scientist.
Abraham punches Eugene repeatedly, almost killing him. Rosita steps in his way to stop him, hand on her pistol. He walks off some distance and falls to his knees, crying.
In the episode " Crossed ", Abraham remains reclusive and on his knees in shock. Rosita is unable to get through to him. In mid-season finale " Coda ", Abraham and his group return to the church with the firetruck in time to save Carl, Michonne, Gabriel and Judith from walkers though Abraham is still noticeably mad at an unconscious Eugene.
In the episode " Them ", the group decide to continue their journey to Washington D. Abraham has taken to drinking heavily and tries to make short talk with Sasha and stops Eugene from trying bottles of water left on the road, as Rick fears it may be poisoned.
When a pack of walkers arrives Rick devises a plan to eliminate them without exhausting themselves by letting them fall into a ditch, with Abraham, Sasha, Michonne, Glenn and Maggie, but Sasha's recklessness almost gets Abraham killed when she cuts him.
Eventually the group takes refuge inside a barn and are forced to hold the doors closed to keep walkers from entering.
In the episode " The Distance ", Maggie and Sasha bring in a stranger named Aaron and after Rick disbelieves his claim of a nearby community Abraham takes part in the barn's defense on Rick's orders.
When Michonne, Glenn and Maggie are set on following Aaron's claim of there being cars nearby Rick orders Abraham and Rosita to accompany them, eventually finding an R.
After clearing it out Abraham asks Rosita if she believed he was going to hurt her back at the fire truck but she says no, knowing him better.
The group returns to the barn and Rick finally decides to travel to their community but are temporarily delayed by a "herd" and Abraham leads half the group to a shelter with Aaron's boyfriend Eric.
After the group resumes their travels, Abraham driving the R. In " Remember ", the group enters Alexandria where they are interviewed by its leader Deanna Monroe who gives them two houses among themselves but they decide to stay in one house the first night though Abraham and Sasha are more on guard than the others.
In " Forget ", Deanna holds a welcome party for the new group which Abraham attends with Rosita but they are troubled by the normalcy of it until they see beer and Abraham gets slightly drunk.
Later he talks to Michonne about how their lives are finally looking better but also the difficulty of leaving behind the road and equally the danger of settling in which Michonne agrees on, after she humorously notes how drunk he is.
In the episode " Spend ", after having sex with Rosita, Abraham washes his face and appears stressed and joins Tobin's construction crew as they move materials from outside to expand the wall.
Having come through that, having truly found what he wants, he now faces a life ahead full of conflict and compromise — if he even gets to lead it.

Rick tells him to calm down, saying that the group has kids at the farm. Rick asks Dale what he thinks, and Dale tells Abraham that as long as his group keeps it's distance, they can stay.
Abraham thanks the Survivors for this and asks if they can show him around. Andrea tells him that he could not possibly know that, and asks him why he is escorting Eugene anyway.
Abraham tells her that he needs something to keep him occupied and Eugene's trip is just that, an occupation. Suddenly, they are interrupted by a large group of zombies, drawn to the area by the gunfire the night before.
Abraham quickly grabs a pitchfork and tells Andrea to alert everyone else of the situation, before heading off to kill the incoming zombies.
He starts to dispatch the zombies using his knife and the pitchfork, wanting to avoid drawing any more zombies to the area.
Andrea and the others soon come to his aid and tell him to move out of the way so they can shoot the zombies. Abraham tells them to leave the zombies to him, still not wanting to draw anymore to the area.
After a few more seconds, Abraham dispatches all the zombies, and tells the Survivors that they need to leave the farm for their own safety.
He tells them that he, Eugene, and Rosita are leaving in a few hours and that the Survivors are welcome to come with them to D. After travelling away from Hershel's farm, Abraham is seen on night duty, looking out for any zombies that stumble into the camp.

The next morning, Abraham greets Rick as he wakes up. He asks Rick if he plans on "ditching" him, Eugene, Rosita, and Rick tells him to fuck off that he is not ditching the group and has about as much right to the tents if he does ditch them.
Abraham then tells him to get ready to leave the camp, as they plan on scouting a nearby settlement. When Abraham and the group arrive at the settlement, they are quickly overrun by a large group of zombies.
Abraham starts to kill them with his machine gun, ordering everyone to get back into the vehicles and they do so, leaving the settlement in a hurry.
Later that night, Abraham and the group find that Maggie Greene has hanged herself, trying to commit suicide over the loss of her parents.
Abraham quickly springs to action and cuts Maggie down from the noose. After Glenn informs the group that she has stopped breathing.

A frustrated Rosita tries to give him water, but he smacks the bottle out of her hand and looms over her menacingly. Maggie draws her pistol on him, threatening him to sit back down.
He looks at her sadly, and then complies - back on his knees again. He continues on in this catatonic state, even when the others head off to scavenge and Maggie bitterly scolds him to "get over him self.
He finally opens up: "I thought I did Abraham and his group return to the church where Michonne, Carl, and Father Gabriel have locked intruding walkers inside.
Michonne informs them that Beth Greene , Maggie's sister, is alive, much to Maggie's relief. Together they head to Atlanta to assist Rick, Daryl, Tyreese, Sasha, and Noah - all of whom have already gone, in retrieving her.
They reappear at the end of the episode, colliding with Rick and the others at the hospital only to see Daryl carrying Beth's corpse. Abraham appears when Maggie, Daryl, and Sasha came back from the woods after they failed to find food and water.
When they run out of gas, Abraham and the group begin their long walk to Washington D. He participates in pushing the walkers off the cliff.
Sasha comes over to the walkers and begins to stab them with Abraham remarking "The plan just got dicked". Abraham offers Sasha a drink of whisky but she coldly rejects him.
They decide to eat the dogs. Then they also hear a tornado coming. Daryl found a barn and directs the group over to it.
Abraham and the group search the barn. Abraham is present when Aaron , a recruiter for a supposed Alexandria Safe-Zone , is interrogated at the hands of Rick.
Aaron tells the group about two cars, and Abraham is one of the people sent by Rick to check it out, along with Rosita, Michonne, Maggie and Glenn.
When the group finds the cars, Abraham and Rosita check out a motor home and find food inside. He then mentions the past events after Eugene's lie reveal and asks Rosita if she thought he was going to hurt her, to which she replies "no".
Abraham gets separated from the rest of the group when the car Rick, Glenn, Michonne and Aaron were in is driven right into a herd, but later reunites with the group in an old warehouse.
Abraham drives the motor home to Washington himself, believing that the group would be able to get there even with low fuel, which instantly leads to the motor home's battery dying.
Glenn redirects Abraham to a spare battery elsewhere in the motor home, having learned about mechanics before from Dale Horvath.
At the end of the episode, Abraham arrives at the Alexandria Safe-Zone with the rest of the group. Abraham enters Alexandria with the rest of his group and demands to know who "Deanna" is when Aaron mentions her after Nicholas demands everyone to turn over their weapons.
Following their entrance, Abraham is interviewed by Deanna Monroe , the leader of the community, where she assigns him to work on the construction crew to assist with the town walls.
Abraham arrives at Deanna's party with Rosita. They both appear to be uncomfortable, but she relaxes after she mentions there is beer and smiles when Abraham goes off to grab some drinks.
Later, he is seen talking to Michonne. Abraham is first shown washing his face, apparently after having sex with Rosita. While gathering materials from the mall construction site they are attacked by numerous walkers.
Tobin shows a need to leave her behind, but Abraham rushes in and manages to save her life. He then goes under the perch and gives Francine his gun while he uses the spike ball to kill the walkers.
Afterwards, he scolds Tobin for almost leaving Francine to die, then she comes and punches Tobin for that. He then orders two lookouts and wants everyone to build a wall, with him taking in charge.
Abraham first appears in the room with Rick, Glenn, and Carol, discussing what to do about the meeting in the evening that will decide if Rick gets to stay or not.
He is then seen checking on Tara, with Rosita and, unknowingly, Eugene in the room as will. He is about to leave when he see's Eugene due to their previous conflict, but Rosita stops him and says Eugene is asleep.
He sits down next to Eugene and Tara when Rosita purposefully knocks over a pan, waking Eugene. The two make amends and acknowledge that they both helped each other to Alexandria and that they were both sorry for what had happened prior.
Pete Anderson , the abusive husband of Jessie with whom Rick brawled in the streets the day before, shortly arrives in a drunken rage, trying to kill Rick.
With Abraham pinning him down, Rick shoots and kills Pete. Abraham first appears in a flashback. Abraham carries Reg's corpse to the Alexandria graveyard and is laying it down when he notices Reg's wedding ring on his finger.
He draws a bottle of whiskey and pours a little on the tarp covering Reg's body in tribute to him. Later that night, Abraham is drunk on the porch of a house.
He plays with Reg's wedding ring by trying to keep it atop his whiskey bottle without it falling. He then notices Sasha walking by him.
He throws up a peace sign at Sasha, who, after some hesitation, returns the gesture. Another day, while at the town meeting to discuss what needs to be done about a quarry full of walkers near the community, Abraham decides to go with Sasha to help lead the walkers away from the quarry.
Abraham later appears with the Survivors outside the Safe-Zone where he asks Sasha if she still wants to die. He later appears when he helps Rick and the others to help construct a wall.
When walkers appear and the Alexandrians are too scared to fight back, Abraham and the others go over and kill the other walkers. Rick announces everyone to go in their positions, that they must execute the plan at that moment.
In the car, Abraham asks Sasha if she is doing good, to which Sasha replies that she already answered him.
As they are leading the walkers away, Abraham notices a few walkers heading off into the woods after some shiny material in the woods, so he gets out of the car, gets their attention, and kills a few of them before getting back into the car.
Sasha asks him why would he do something as reckless as he did and he says it was fun. He then begins to describe the events that led to the deaths of Reg and Pete in a gruesome matter, which Sasha notices.
Everything is going as planned until they hear a horn begin blaring from Alexandria. Still leading the herd of walkers away in their vehicles despite many of the walkers heading to Alexandria, Sasha, Abraham, and Daryl all discuss plans to get the herd away from Alexandria without any casualties.
Sasha says that the herd could stop them if Daryl goes ahead as he suggested and Abraham agrees with her.
As Daryl speeds off anyway, Sasha and Abraham both yell for him not to go ahead. Later, Sasha and Abraham both listen as Rick alters the plan.
He tells Daryl to go back to Sasha and Abraham. At the end of the episode, Sasha and Abraham meet Daryl on the road in their vehicles, continuing to deter the herd away from Alexandria.
Abraham first appears in this episode alongside Sasha and Daryl. The trio has successfully lured the walker herd at least 20 miles away from Alexandria.
Just before the trio start to make their way back to Alexandria, they are brought under fire from an unknown group on the road. Abraham and Sasha both nearly get shot when driving away and Daryl gets separated from Abraham and Sasha.
They both crash the car into the woods, and Abraham and Sasha both open fire on two survivors in the car that was shooting at them.
Abraham draws his knife and heads over to finish the job but Sasha stops him stating that more of the survivors will be looking for them and they need to leave.
Sasha and Abraham both make it into a nearby town when Abraham notices a stray zombie. Abraham proceeds to head over to take out the walker but Sasha stops him as they don't want to leave a trail for the group of survivors to follow.
Sasha marks a door with "Dixon" before heading in. Inside the house, Abraham notices a picture of a family which reminds him of his own family that he lost in the initial days of the apocalypse.
Abraham then notices a zombie behind a glass wall, and he expresses his desire to kill it. Sasha stops him and she proceeds to talk about his killer instinct and his reckless behavior.
Abraham jokingly reminds Sasha that she was in a similar position when she lost Bob and Tyreese and that she cut his arm on their journey to paradise.
Sasha acknowledges this and states how similar the both of them are. Early next morning, Abraham patrols the town their in when he comes across a military humvee.
In the back much to his surprise, he finds a box of cigars and a case filled with rockets. Abraham looks around for the rocket launcher when he spots it on a military zombie that is dangling off the bridge.
Abraham makes his way over to the zombie and attempts to get the rocket launcher. As Abraham struggles with the zombie and after nearly getting bitten twice, he yells in anger and leaves the zombie.
He goes over to the truck and proceeds to smoke one of the cigars when suddenly the zombie falls off the bridge with the rocket launcher barely being held by the strap.
Abraham brings the rocket launcher, rockets and cigars back to Sasha, who compliments him for his tremendous find.
Abraham then states to Sasha that he likes her and that he wants to get to know her better to which she accepts. Abraham and Sasha both find Daryl with a fuel tanker and both head back to Alexandria when they both hear a voice calling for help on the radio.
Abraham is seen in a post-credits scene with Sasha and Daryl. Their truck is stopped by a gang on motorcycles, who demand everything they have, saying it now belongs to Negan.
He orders one of the men to take Daryl to the back of the truck and inspect its cargo while Sasha and Abraham stay behind. After some conversation between Abraham, Sasha and the leader of the gang, as the latter is threatening to shoot them, the whole group of bikers explodes.
Daryl then comes out from behind the truck holding an RPG, having subdued and killed the biker who went to check cargo with him, and leaves with Abraham and Sasha.
Later Abraham and Sasha suddenly appear. Sasha then helps the Alexandrians and Rick fight the mega walker herd, eventually succeeding.
Abraham first appears in this episode returning from a patrol with Sasha. Sasha tells him that she and Eugene will switch patrols for a bit.
Abraham is slightly saddened by this news but she flashes him a peace sign referencing to the peace sign he gave to her after Pete and Reg died.
He promptly returns the sign to her. The scene then flashes forward to Abraham in bed with Rosita , who's thinking about Sasha.
Abraham tells Rosita that he loves her and she kisses him and tells him to prove it. She gives him a necklace made from a broken tail light he wears half, she the matching half and tells him to meet her in the shower.
Jesus explains that he is a recruiter for a settlement not too far away from here and that he trades with other communities.
He offers to take Rick and a few others to go to the Hilltop Colony to trade for food to which Rick accepts.
Inside the RV, Abraham quietly asks Glenn if he was trying to impregnate Maggie, to which he says yes but is confused as to why Abraham would ask that.
Abraham quips that he believes in wearing galoshes when it's pouring rain. Abraham is then seen with Rick and the others who are about to enter a building to save a few other members of the Hilltop colony.
Inside, Abraham draws his knife, grabs a member of the Hilltop, Freddie , by the throat and nearly stabs him before being stopped by Rick.
Inside the RV, Freddie explains to them how he saw his dead wife when Abraham nearly stabs him, to which Abraham looks on remembering his dead wife.
At the Hilltop, Abraham draws his rifle on Kal and Eduardo before Jesus calmly tells Rick and the others to trust him and that the hilltop is safe.
Abraham enters the Hilltop and takes in the sight and listens to Jesus's talk about the history of the place. Abraham enters the Barrington house who notes how impressive the place is.
Abraham and the others meet Gregory who rudely states that Rick and the others should get cleaned up. Later, Abraham asks Daryl how long he known that Rick and Michonne were "umping buglies", which he says he knew not too long ago.
Outside Abraham is with everyone when Ethan, Crystal and Andy return from a failed supply meeting with the Saviors. Despite being significantly stronger than Andy, Abraham doesn't fight back and lets Andy choke him.
As Andy chokes him, he hears Sasha's voice and right before Andy can kill him, Daryl comes along and snaps Andy's arm.
Daryl looks over to Abraham and asks if he is okay to which he grins and replies that he is, seemingly unfazed by near-death.
As he gets up, the camera shows Rosita's necklace lying on the ground, the chain broken during the fight.
Abraham does not notice it has fallen from him. He is then seen with Rick, Jesus and the others who discuss the threat of Negan and the Saviors.
Rick tells Jesus that Daryl, Abraham and Sasha had a run in with the Saviors a few months back to which Abraham recalls the event, calling it a barbecue.
He is later seen loading food into the RV. As Rick and the others are leaving the Hilltop, Daryl passes him a photo of Glenn and Maggie's unborn child, and Abraham looks to Glenn and smiles.
Inside their home, Abraham packs his bag and tells Rosita that he's leaving her. Rosita cries, demanding an explanation.
The next day, the Survivors caravans down the road. After they sound the horns on their vehicles to attract any nearby walkers, he orders everyone to separate on foot and reconvene in a couple of hours.
The group reconvenes on the road, where Rick proposes that they attack a couple of hours before dawn. Abraham covers for Sasha as she tries to open a locked door.
However, a Savior discovers them and attacks Abraham, but is pulled off him by Sasha before he can do anymore harm to Abraham.
Sasha then stabs the Savior in the stomach, but he manages to pull the alarm, alerting the compound to the attack.
The group moves through the rest of the compound with their guns, engaging the Saviors, who are now awake. He and Sasha reconvene with the group in the morning.
Abraham and Eugene leave the compound and walk down an alley in a local town. Abraham observes that Eugene's mullet has been fashioned into a ponytail.
Not only that, but he's been taking on more guard duty shifts, knows how to use weapons, and has even been flirting with women.
Abraham still isn't convinced. They arrive at an industrial machine shop. He proposes they use the equipment there to manufacture bullets, figuring that ammo is a finite supply and will soon become the "coin of the land.
Eugene attempts to kill it, but the walker's head was drenched in liquid metal, now hardened, and Eugene can't get through.
Abraham finally stabs the walker with rebar. An enraged Eugene insists he could have killed it himself and tells Abraham his "services are no longer required.
Later, when Eugene is captured and Daryl's group is surrounded by Saviors, he hides behind two oil barrels.
Spotting Abraham, Eugene considers his options, and then claims Abraham is hiding behind the barrels, urging Dwight to kill him first. As Dwight drops his guard, Eugene bites Dwight in the crotch.
Having moved position into the woods, Abraham opens fire. A shootout ensues and Eugene is hit in the crossfire. In the infirmary.
Abraham and Eugene talk. Abraham apologizes for questioning his survival skills. Abraham, rocked by the day's events, goes to Sasha's house.
Abraham arrives at the watch post to take over from Sasha. She hands him a cigar and they talk while Rosita watches them. When Glenn and Michonne prepare to go after Daryl, Abraham insists on going with them.
Rosita tells him to cover her shift, claiming she knows where Daryl is going. Abraham opens the gate for Rick when he returns from searching for Carol.
He tells him that Morgan is still looking for her and asks where Michonne is. Abraham says that she is still out there and asks Rick if he is worried, to which he says he is.
They share their fears over getting close to someone again. Rick smiles and nods. Abraham and Sasha both join the group on their search for Carol, and to escort Maggie to the Hilltop for treatment of her sudden affliction, though they come across a small group of Saviors.
Abraham slows the RV to a stop as they run into the Saviors' blockade on the road. The Survivors steps out of the RV.
Rick puts his hands up and offers to make a deal. Rick refuses, retorting that he was going to ask them for their stuff, but without having to kill anymore of them.
Rick announces that they will be leaving, but before getting back in the RV, he asks "What if it's your last day on Earth? Because you never know.
As Abraham drives the RV, he tells Sasha he is ready to bring new life into the world. She smiles.
The Survivors encounters another, larger, gang of Saviors consisting of at least 16 people, blocking the road. Rick sees that they are outnumbered and tells Abraham to turn around.
A Savior fires his rifle in the air as they retreat. The RV encounters yet another roadblock: this time, a line of walkers chained together across the road.
The group gets out to investigate. Eugene says that such an elaborate roadblock took a lot of people to accomplish, and Abraham fears for the group's safety.
Aaron notices that one of the walkers has two of Michonne 's dreadlocks stapled to it, and Sasha notices Daryl 's crossbow bolts embedded through another walker's chest.
As Rick makes to kill a walker, Saviors fire at them from the woods on both sides of the road. Rick cuts the chain, letting the walkers loose, and the group quickly dispatch them.
They pile into the RV and drive forward. Back on the move, Rick notes that the Saviors were only firing at their feet. Aaron informs Rick that Maggie's fever is worsening.
They soon come upon a still larger roadblock of Saviors in the road, this time consisting of about 40 Saviors. Once again, they turn around. The Survivors encounters a giant wall of logs blocking the road.
Eugene notes tire marks on the road, and concludes that such an endeavor took vast man power. As the survivors debate their next move, Eugene points out that the Saviors are probably looking for the RV and might not expect them to travel by foot.
Eugene hands Rick a recipe for making bullets, in the event that he gets killed. Rick smiles, and says that they're lucky to have Eugene with them.
They hug. The Survivors carries a very weak Maggie into the woods on a stretcher. Eugene gets in the RV and drives away.
Marching through the woods, the survivors suddenly hear whistles coming from every direction. They realize that they are surrounded by the Saviors.
